7-25-2018 Chilkoot trail! Dyea to Canyon City. 7.7 miles

Killing time in Skagway while we wait for our ride to the Chilkoot traihead in Dyea, Alaska

 It all starts here!

It was unbelievably hot and humid!  If we had our choice, we wouldn't be wearing this many articles of clothing!  This did not feel like Alaska!
Yes, Tressa did have a top on, the sign is just perfectly placed!
Canyon City!  This is our first nights destination.  We were very tired, and willing to go to be really early!

At this campsite, the "artist in residence" made bingo cards and handed them out to the campers.
The warming hut, and the bear lockers at Canyon City.

Ever tried to find flip-flops in Alaska?!  I found these at the hardware store in Skagway.  They had this pair of extra large, or one pair of extra small.  I bought the extra large, and took scissors and cut 2 inches off the back.  Good enough, and through the whole trip, I was so glad I had these!  Caitlyn and I took turns wearing them.
