Helena 9/29/2017

I miss these people so much!

No church meetings, so we took a quick trip up to Helena
Nora loved the cake pops.  That made me so happy!

Mike and Amanda have worked so hard on their yard this year, and it is amazing!

We hadn't heard from the twins for a while, so we went down to check on them.  They had gotten into the bag of rice, and had their own little snow storm!  Rice every where!

It's not a very good picture, but this is where they were making "snow angels".
I love these kids!!!

 We love selfies and wrestling!

We got to hike to Francis Hill.  One of my favorite things to do in Helena.  These kids are awesome hikers!

Nora and Miles decided they were both going to be the leaders and the first ones to the top.  Cutest thing ever!

For some reason, she thought it was a great idea to take a picture of the paint brush...um, ok.

And just like that, the weekend was over and we headed home...in the snow!  What happened to Summer and Fall?!

Here we go again! 9/27/2017

We know better than to go looking for mountain property in the fall!  It gets us everytime!

This it the view looking South.

This is the view looking East.

We loved this lot, referred to it as "the chair lot".
Not sure if the chairs come with the lot, but I hope so!

We saw the lot on Tuesday, came home and talked about it, and made an offer Wednesday.  It was accepted Wednesday evening!  We are so excited!

...and now my kitchen table looks like this!  Cabin floor plans!
I'll keep you posted....

Livy wanted to go to Mannorlands for her birthday.

Rex got to explore the great outdoors!  Snow and wind were pretty exciting for this dude.

Hike to Donut falls, and then donuts! 9/12/2017

Dean, Ej, Braden, Livy, and Krista all hiked to Donut falls.

Yay for donuts afterwards!

9-12-2017 Manorlands

Finally a trip to Manorlands.
 Trying to find cell service.

We started getting serious about buying a cabin lot.  We found a couple lots in Manorlands that we really liked.  This one was my favorite, but it didn't have water to go with it, so we had to pass.

Our friends the Roland's cabin.

Ridgecrest turns 50, Big Cottonwood Half, and downing the tree 9/9/2017

My parents had this big Russian olive tree that needed to come down.

Yep, that's Dean up in the tree!
The ladder wasn't quite long enough, not a problem.

Now for the main part of the tree....

Ridgecrest Elementary turned 50!  They had a big party, and invited us back for the celebration.
I was PTA president there in 1996-97, and we made this tile mural for the main hall in the elementary school.  We had each kid decorate a tile.
Betsy oversaw the project, she was PTA president the year before me, and served on the board my year.

Braden's tile.  Killing a pot gut in front of the cabin garage.

My tile.  This was the design we also had on our sweatshirts for this year.

Caitlyn's tile.

These are our sweatshirt designs for the years we were president.

The next morning was the Big Cottonwood half marahton.

Perfect day for a race.

....and a picture of Rex andLivy!
