A trip to Kanab 2/14/2018

We went to Kanab to help Jeff and Julie, Jeff has recently had both knees replaced, and Julie had to have a surgery this week.

While we were there, Dean decided the light bulbs needed changing. We couldn't put the ladder in a convenient location, because of the fridge.  Good thing he is limber!

We had a great time with the kids.  Dean and Jordan playing video games, and Jaxon and Jordan making slim for Livy and Rex.

Day one of the balloon festival was cancelled because of wind.

We went to check out the Jackson Flat reservoir....and got to see a corvette crash.
No one was hurt, but a couple "mid-life" egos were damaged!
We made a day trip over to Hurricane, had lunch with Connie, and then to St. George to see Krista's new house.
Headed back to Kanab to see the Balloon Festival on Saturday morning.

They seemed to really like flying above Jeff's house!

After the balloons came down, we decided it was about time we saw the Grand Canyon!

Jeff took us out on a dirt road, no visitors center or anything here, and the views were amazing!
(I guess I shouldn't be surprised, it is the GRAND CANYON!)

Got back to Kanab to see the "Balloons and Tunes".  The hot air balloons lined the streets, and there were street vendors down Main Street, and live bands!
Guys, this was cool!

...and then there was a lantern launch.  This was such a fun way to spend our anniversary!
We are planning to go back next year!

Lots of family 2-1-18

My niece Chenelle was expecting, and due any time, so my sister Dianna was coming into town to stay with us so she could see her new granddaughter, Calliope.  My  younger brother was coming into town for a doctor's appointment, so he and his family were also going to be staying with us.
It's a party!
Back row:  Ari, Rex, Hanna, Livy, Braden, Cristian, Hilary, Jacob, Dean and Erika
Front row:  Dianna, Jaxon, Wayne, Dorleen, Cory, Jeff, Julie, Kami and Kayee.
On the floor:  Jordan

 Nohea, Dean, and Livy

Jordan wanted a birthday party with his Salt Lake family.

 Chenelle and 6 days old
   Calliope.

Stupid Birthdays 2-1-2018

This is what happens when you have had too many birthdays!  Everything falls apart!
This is a MRI of my neck.  I think that black goop in the white part is not a good thing.
From what I understand, C 3-4, C4-5, and C5-6, are just kind of messed up.  Disc-osteophy, which I think means bone spurs, and Facet hypertrophy, which I think means messed up joints.  And then there is C6-7, that's the one that is all kinds of ugly!
I've gone to physical therapy, and who knew....it actually helps!  They taught Dean how to relieve some of the pressure on the discs, and we got this over the door contraption that actually makes things feel good!  As long as I don't hang myself, I think we are going to survive.
 Things are looking up!
(and I think I'm getting taller!)
