Helena Aug 30- Sept 3, 2016

Mike finished casing all the pillars on the front porch.
 It looks awesome!

Painting in main living areas is done....getting ready to install hardwood!

Mike had to do some finish carpentry on the fireplace, which meant I had to do MORE painting!

Dean is ready to install flooring....he's not going to sit around and watch paint dry!

These guys did an amazing job!

Before
and
After
I love this picture of Nora!  If there is a job to be done, she is all over it!  Don't know if you can see, but she has mis-match shoes AND socks!
A finished room!!!!  We are all pretty excited!  It looks amazing!

The boys, meanwhile, were upstairs, each watching a different TV.
They are in heaven!

I had to include this picture.  Dex started at his new school this week.  Amanda and I walked him to school.  All the kids had lined up and gone in, and we were walking away, when we heard Dex holler out,  "Mom, I need a hug"  He is at the far door, waiting for his hug.
Then he went in and was fine.

 Dean installed the shower floor.

Mike got the mud room ready for tile

Amanda sanded and oiled the old beams.  They look so cool!

Nora was looking for another job, so I had her go fill her bucket with apples.  She filled it to the top, and then waited for her next job.  I LOVE this kid!

Great Grandma Jenson took the kids to the park several times.
And took pictures too, how great is that!
Dex telling the neighbor about watching the branch of her tree fall down in the wind storm.

Nora....Oh Nora!  She has these collections.  She is so proud of them, and there are so many collections of random stuff.  This collection just happened to be in a corner of one of the rooms the guys were installing hardwood.  I pity the person that has to tell her to move her collection!

She is a busy girl!

We watched as these deer crossed the street, and the last two decided to take the stairs.  Kind of odd.

Great Grandma, helping paint the princess room.
All the painting needs to be done, carpet to come soon!

My mom took this picture.  Oh how I wish I knew what they were discussing!
Love these Montana kids!

Lake Powell 8/24-8/29/2016

This was where we called home for the last week of August.
Dean and his brother Bob securing the anchors

This is me and my sister in law, Pam.
Not quite the weather we expected for August at Lake Powell!

It was too cold to play in the water, so we hiked to Wahweap Windows.

My new friends Diane and Celia, me, and SIL Pam.

I love this little hike.
 (and I love this guy)

The first couple days had some pretty good storms roll in.
Made for cool pictures, and good hikes.

These pictures are taken from the top of the cliffs above where we camped.

 and us!

Exploring is one of my favorite things to do at Powell!

Not sure who to give credit for this, but it wasn't me.
On one of our adventures, we found this slot canyon, and thought it would be fun to go exploring....bad idea.  Got this far into it and the stink was SO bad!  I'm sure there is a dead animal not to far from where I was.  To bad, these are so fun to hike through.  Next time :(

 Bob tubing.

The water wasn't great, and it's just not the same watching me ski as opposed to watching Dean ski. Because of his accident, he won't be able to ski till next summer.

We made it to the top of the Sand Hill.
For those of you that have done it, you know that it is quite an accomplishment.
Here is a picture of those in our group that made it to the wall!  Good job guys!

Coming down is much easier that going up!

We finally got a glimpse of the sun, so we didn't waste time catching some rays!
(yes, in this picture, I am down to only one jacket on)

...and we got super cute shoes!

On one of our hikes, the ground gave way underneath us, and out of nowhere, we sank!  Weird!  Thanks for the helping hand Bob!

FYI, no flowers were injured in the taking of this picture.

On one hike, we had this great idea of setting the timer and taking a picture of the group.  Sounds easy enough?!
Jeff running back to get in the picture, and about knocked Jackie off her rock!

Oops, Jeff didn't make it back for this one.

Yay!  We did it!

That was a fun trip.
It was great to meet new friends, and spend time with old ones.
