So things don't always go as planned....

Dean and I decided to take a little get-a-way and head to St. George. There was a race down there that would count toward one of our Runners Series races, and there is also a county high point that we haven't hiked yet.  Great time to do both....we thought.
The night before each race, I lay out my clothes for the race so there are no surprises on race day.  Well, that meant that I got my surprise the night before....NO RUNNING SHOES!  Somehow in packing everything, my running shoes didn't get into the suitcase.
My options were, flipflops, high heels, hiking shoes, or Dean offered me his extra pair of running shoes.

Yep, chose the hiking shoes.  They were a little heavier than my running shoes, and much noisier.
They got me to the finish line, and only 2 blisters.

Dean ran the first mile with me, then he picked up the pace and ended up taking first place in his age group.

Connie and Rob were at the finish line with a cold Dr. Pepper for Deaner!  They take such good care of us.

Monday we had planned to do a 10 hour hike.  Signal Peak.  There was a wind warning for that area.  We decided since there were going to be 45 mile an hour winds, and 70 mile an hour wind gusts, it may not be the best day to do a long hike.  We drove up to find the trail-head, so when we go back down to hike it, we would know where we were going.

Yep, this is the road that leads to the trail-head. Apparently we were not meant to "bag" this peak this weekend!

Congrats Braden!

Today Braden got sworn in as a member of the Utah State Bar

Caitlyn met us at Abravanel Hall.
Olivia thought it got a little boring....
.....as did Dean and Caitlyn, thank goodness for smart phones.

This is Braden standing as they read his name.

 Taking the oath

The glass sculpture in the lobby of Abravanel Hall.

So many people!  Can you spot Hanna and Caitlyn in the crowd?

It's now official.  Braden is a licensed attorney!

Apparently Braden didn't want Caitlyn in on their cute photo.

 Oh, cute picture....without Caitlyn.

We are so proud of Braden and Hanna!
Braden, thanks for letting Caitlyn in this picture!

Fall with the Francis Fam

Time to paint the fence at the Francis' house.
It was so cool to see these guys all working side by side.
Dex took his painting seriously!

When I asked him to look at me for a picture, this is the look I got.  He is too grown up for pictures!

Mike tried to blame this on Dex!

Meanwhile, I got to play with babies!

Nora and Dex do the same thing with their tongues.

I tried to take a picture of the babies together....that is SO NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

After all the work was done, Mike and Amanda took the kids to the pumpkin patch.  They let me tag along and snap pictures.

Olivia is here!

(I know, I was a little slow getting this posted.)
This cute picture of Hanna was taken on Sept 19, 2013. One week after her due date. In the morning, September 20th,  she was supposed to head over to the hospital to have labor induced.  About 2 hours after this picture was taken, Hanna went into labor on her own.

Getting pretty excited to meet Olivia.

18 hours later, Olivia finally arrived!

Grandma and Grandpa Ellis were so excited to meet her.  She was so worth the wait!

Olivia has the same double cowlick that her daddy has.
