 Week #3

Tearing apart the upstairs bathroom.  Tub needed to be moved to allow for a linen closet, and toilet and sink needed to to switched.

Built-ins gone!  Old doorway framed in,  new double doorway built.

Hike and dinner with Amanda's friend Jody.  Good time to get the kids out of the house since Dean has the water turned off while he moves all the plumbing around.

There are 2 little bunnies that live in Mike and Amanda's yard.  They are starting to get used to us.

Vents for 2 new bathrooms on the main floor.

Mike's deck is starting to be awesome!
We spent a good portion of Sunday hanging out on this deck!

Love watching these brothers!

I couldn't reach the very peak of this gable, even with the ladder on the trailer, the trailer back onto 4x4 posts, and the extention ladder at it's max.  That's where Mike's long "wing-span" came in very handy!
Love the way this white trim looks!

The windows without the white trim painted are going to be replaced with bigger windows.  They have an awesome view of  Mt Ascension from the back of their house, so bigger windows are a must!

So all day Friday, and Saturday, we were without water to the house while the guys were working on plumbing.  That was ok except Amanda had to speak in church at 9 a.m.  Dean worked Saturday night till the was finally able to turn it on.  The tub only has a pipe coming out of the wall, so bathing was tricky, but we got it done!   Manda did a great job on her talk.

Walking to and from church, you pass the State Capitol Building.  Really appreciated that they label where to take your selfie from!

This picture was to show the outside progress of the house this week.  The white trim is done, except on the windows that are still to be replaced.

Sunday was a great day for another hike.  Amanda's friend Juliana took us on this great hike with amazing views of the city.

Kodak moment....both babies had to pee.  Parenting at it's best!

It started to rain, and the wind was terribly cold, Miles and Dex, and their friend Barec sought cover under a tree behind a bolder.  Smart kiddos!
Back row: Erika, Dean, Kai (Mike's friend that lives in Washington), Mike and Amanda
Front row:  Barec, Nora, Miles and Dex.

Dean and Nora, and Miles and Amanda were playing leap frog on the way down.  Waiting for your turn to go is so hard.

 Make shift table and chairs.

I will add pictures from today and tomorrow's progress, so check back :)

Boating at Ut lake 5/24/2016

See that storm behind us....we are trying to beat it!  We are headed to Montana for a week, and when we get back, we take off for Lake Powell for a week.  We won't have time to test the boat after we get home from Montana, so we had to run down to Utah Lake and at least see if the boat works. Only problem is there is a storm coming!

Boat ran great!  We got off the water in time, and it started raining as we were putting the cover back on the boat.  That was a cold one!
