Muir Woods, Day 6, June 20

Doesn't matter that there is an empty couch and chair right next to them, this is where they choose to hang out.

 Back to our favorite field.

We did timed trials, these kids gave it their all!  I didn't get a picture of Dex, I was too busy timing him!

 Cutest push-ups ever!

We met up with Amanda, and headed to Muir Woods.
 Those Redwoods are amazing!

Nora is showing that this clover patch had some 2 leafed clovers that looked like butterflies.

Petting zoo, Art Museum, Day 5 June 19

Watching the kids get the chores done so we could go out for the day was about the cutest thing.  Never gets old!

We had a little time to kill before we met Amanda for lunch, so we went to our favorite field on UC Berkeley's campus.  The kids played frisbee, Nora got bored with that and started making mud cakes.

We went to a petting zoo with Amanda to eat our lunch and hang out with her.  Nora found a bug, so she was in Heaven!

The baby pigs were our favorite!

This water sculpture is right across from where we catch the bus each day.  Nora found a penny, and wanted to throw it in.  I have no idea where the penny is...there is no ripple in the water, her hand is open and she looks pleased....but no idea where that penny is!

We were in California during National Pride week.  Of course we needed a picture!

Next up, the art museum.  But first, look at that park job!  Amanda had to parallel park, and she did like a boss!  (she avoids parallel parking at all costs!)

Amanda plans the coolest things each day!

Berkeley, Day 4, June 18

After breakfast, the kids and I did all the laundry.  They were so cute sorting and folding their own laundry!
We decided to go out to lunch.  Super Duper Burgers was our choice, and good choice it was, free ice cream cones!

Then we rode the bus up to Amanda's work.  The bus driver was super friendly, kids loved him!

The nice lady at the math building showed the kids all the fun activities there, we will for sure be coming back!

The science museum was on our list for today, but when we got there, we realized it closed in about an hour, and we didn't think that would be enough time, so change of plans....off to the art museum.

Of course, art museum was closed on Tuesdays!  So plan "C",  on the Berkeley campus there was a dinosaur display.  That would have to do for today, and the kids loved it!

Later that evening, the kids got to try out their new water squirters!
That day didn't go exactly as planned, but it was a fun day anyway!

Berkeley, Day 3, June 17. Playing at the lake and Anza Park

This "twin" bed is just right for Grandma and the twins!

After breakfast we all got to work to get ready for a really busy day!
 Miles made us all lunches.

Nora packed towels, and water bottles.

 Dex did all the dishes.

We went to a lake with a really hard hike!

Hard to explain this picture....awkward Dex!

Nora invited herself to the sand castle party, Miles and Dex weren't quite as friendly.

Amanda's office view was amazing.  The kids thought was awesome because there were lizards everywhere.  Watching them try to catch the lizards was quite entertaining!

We picked up food and drove to a really cool park!

Yes, that is Nora, and No, we have no idea what goes on in her mind!

From the cool slide, if you go through a tunnel, you come to a really awesome rose garden!  Nora had a million favorite roses!

 Miles was thrilled!

The tunnel was awesome!
Really fun day in Berkeley, CA
