Ann Arbor, 8-28-2018

We are in Ann Arbor!

Dean and Mike enjoyed the playground as much as the kids did!

The kids loved the bingo game we got on the Chilkoot trail.

Yes, I'm carrying a bat.  Feeling a little vulnerable, bat helps.

Nora found bugs...and wanted a picture.

This park has maps for the kids.  These guys were awesome guides!

 Croquet in the front yard.

This is their backyard.
Did I mention that Mike and Amanda's yard is amazing!

Sliver Lake.
 Beach Day!
Amazing weather, we had a blast!

After the beach, we headed to Hell, Michigan.

There is mini golf in Hell, just so you know.

Mike got me my very own bat..."a bat out of Hell", so I would quit using his kids bat, now I have my own!

Shortly after we arrived, Mike and Amanda's basement flooded, like really flooded!  That was just the excuse Dean and Mike needed to take down a cinder-block wall, tear down a closet, remove standing closets, set a beam, build new walls.  A little over reaction, maybe?!
They have really cool ideas for this house!
 Tearing down old wall

Building temporary walls.

 That cinder-block wall....is no more.

Beam is in place, and temporary walls are removed.  Filling in where the wall was with concrete.

While the boys tear down walls, the girls head downtown.

The rain here is amazing, which explains why this place is soooo green!

Nora gave a talk in primary.  Then she hugs her daddy after.  She did a great job!

First day of school for the Francis kids!  Dex is in 3rd grade, and the twins are in full day kindergarten.
 Waiting for the bus.

Nora, Miles, and Nora, all in kindergarten.
 The Noras

 And they are home!

Meanwhile, Dean and Mike continue making progress on the basement project.

Aunt Caitlyn is the best!

Day 2 at the bus stop.  The bus was running late, so the kids played with their shadows!  So stinkin' cute!

Birthday lunch with Mike before Caitlyn heads back to Alaska, Dean and I leave for Utah.
 Amazing week!
