Fun Saturday

Dean got to perform a wedding today for one of our former neighbors.
Kenzi, we wish you the best.

Dean also helped Mike with his fence project.  While the guys worked on the fence, Amanda had a painting project she was working on, so that meant Dex and I got to hang out together!
The neighbor's cat really wanted Dex's attention, Dex was too focused on the flag he was holding.  Eventually the cat nudged Dex so hard Dex fell of the step.

I was trying to teach Dex to BLINK.
 He was trying so  hard.

Next lesson:  to WINK.
 Man I love this kid!

I could watch Dex all day.  He was trying to figure out the sprinkler.

Anytime there is a project going on, Dex has to be right in the middle of it.

I know my job was to keep Dex out of the guys' way, but letting Dex do what he wanted and taking pictures of it was much more fun!!!

Fire in Herriman

When we came out of the temple, this is what we saw out in Herriman.  This makes us really sad, not only for those people that lost their homes, but this is our favorite running route!  This is the canyon that we start all our runs from.

Now that was weird!!!!

Yesterday when I looked out my kitchen window, this is what I saw.

Ok, that's weird.  It's not everyday do you see a turtle cruising across the lawn!

I put him in the kiddie pool, till I could figure out what to do with our new friend.  I did call Dean and told him to pick up some turtle food on his way home....yeah, that was a weird call!

Of course, I had to call and see if Dex could come up to see the turtle.  We called him "Yurdle the turtle".

Next on the list, call the Perrys!  Their kids would love this!
Dex was so excited to have the boys come see the turtle!

Tyler was a little nervous about his boys touching the water the turtle had been in.  Don't want salmonella poisoning.
His boys weren't too worried about it.  As a matter of a fact, they wanted to make sure the baby had the same chance of getting the disease as everyone else!
Um...does this look a little like maybe they are giving him a blessing?

 Max loved it!

The turtle was boring, so the boys moved on.  Dex loves playing with these kids.

Tyler's grand idea as to how to keep Max out of the flower pots on the deck.

Turns out it the turtle belonged to one of our neighbors, it had escaped from their pond.  Made for a fun day!
