Yurting! Now that was fun! 2\21\2019

We got invited to go snowshoeing with three other couple from our neighborhood.  Our destination was a yurt in the middle of nowhere!  How cool is that?!
All bundled up, and ready to go!

This is the same bridge that we cross on our 4-wheelers in the summertime when we go to Lily Lake!

 Home sweet home

Nino and Camie Rogerson, Dean and Erika, Jason and Melissa Carlson, and Erik and Lacey Marsing.

Deaner moving in and getting our beds set up!

Kanab 2/14/2019

We had a great trip down to Kanab.
The balloon festival is one of our favorite things to go down for.
Friday morning, the balloons didn't launch because there was too much wind.  Three of the 50 balloon owners
inflated their balloons, so that was cool.
That's ok, we still have two more days for the balloons to launch.

Julie need a driver to take the suburban full of people to Peek-A-Boo canyon.

After Peek-A-boo, we headed out to Horseshoe bend.

After Horseshoe Bend, we went to check out the toadstools.  Dean and I ran ahead, trying to get a picture with last sun on the formations.  Just barely made it!

There are some amazing sights out there!

So this was the view from our deck on day one...
and on day two, you couldn't even see the red rock!  No launch today, but there were 3 more balloons inflated.  Livy and I went to check them out.

Eventually the fog cleared, but it was too late, so no launch on day 2.
 But cool pictures!

Janna and some of her family, and Greg and some of his family came over, so we went to see "Catstair", and the "Toadstools" again.
The trail to Catstair canyon was flooded, which turned an easy short hike to be quite the adventure!

These two 5 year olds were awesome on the hike.  They made it clear to the waterfall!

Back to the Toadstools.  They wanted to touch one.

 Playing hide and seek

In this picture, off to the left, Coco is seeking, while on the right you can see Dean and Livy hiding.

From left to right:  Cristian, Hillary, Janna, Coco, Trevor, Erika and Livy, Dan, and Dean.

Julie hiked with Baby Curtis.  He is somewhere under that blue coat!

Next up, cookie decorating!  I think Livy liked her cookie, but from the look on her face, it's kind of hard to tell!

Saturday night is balloons and tunes down Main Street.  It's super cool to see, and the lantern launch is one of my favorite things.  This year, it was so cold, that we opted to watch the lanterns from the comfort of the hot tub!

Day 3, once again, the balloon launch was cancelled because of bad weather.

Only the Smoky Bear balloon was inflated, and we watched it from the condo.
 Oh well, maybe next year!

After listening to Jeff and Julie speak in church, we took a drive up Johnson canyon to look at the pictographs.

Came home to enjoy tres leches for the February birthdays.
It happened to be our anniversary, so Julie fixed a cake just for us!
Thanks for hosting us Jeff and Julie, we had a great time!
