House update 6/16/2014

This is a view of our lot from the Jordan River.  There are a couple of pelicans that hang out in this bend of the river.  We can usually see the pelicans from our lot.

 We have a foundation!

Backfilling started today. 

Funny story here....We have this little muskrat that hangs around the bridge.  Dex saw it and was so excited  "I've never seen a beaver before!"  Didn't have the heart to tell him he still hasn't seen a beaver...so we just call this little guy a beaver.  Sure wish it had a bigger, flatter tail!

 Finally figured out how to catch stripers.  Measuring in at 22"!

 Olivia was awesome!  She entertained us all week.

 Of course there was lots of skiing!  Dean got hurt on his first ski run of the trip.  He took a couple days off, but had to ski again before we headed home.

 Then the duck decides to "photo bomb" our picture! Totally turns toward the camera and does this...so weird!  Check out the close-up of the duck.

Nestle Family Fun Run 6-7-2014

It's tradition, when we go to Lake Powell with the Hillams the first week of June, we always run the Nestle 5k on our way out of town.

This was Hanna's and Olivia's first race.

 Our cheering section as we came on to the track towards the finish line.

Erica V, Jen, Kenny and Shelia also ran the race. (They are standing behind the bench with their backs toward the camera.)

 Olivia got a finishers medal, I won a fold up table, and Deena won the big prize, a 55" TV!

 Great way to start a vacation!
