Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia

This is the monster bus we rode in to tour Fraser Island.

The weather was crazy for our ferry crossing.

We crossed a creek with chocolate brown water.

While the tour driver cooked us a fabulous lunch, we went for a rain forest walk.

On our walk back it rained like we have never experienced before.  There should be another word for that kind of downpour.  "Rain" just doesn't describe it.

We stopped at Lake McKenzie for a swim in the rain.

We saw some dingos.
The weather got so bad that, right after we crossed back to the mainland, they shut down the ferry service.

You could not have picked a worse day for Fraser could you? Even the locals all up and down the Sunshine (?) Coast were surprised and the verocity of the weather without it being classed as a Tropical Low system. Wish you could have seen all that in lovely weather.

Glad you saw one of our much maligned dingoes. They are basically a beautiful WILD animal and are blamed for a lot of damage that is done by ferral dogs, not the true dingo. They make beautiful, loyal pets.
