The Milford Sound and Track

Once again, the scenery in the South Island was amazing.

 How cool is this sign?

 We stopped at many places along the way to take pictures, before finally reaching the Milford Sound

 This is it!  Milford Sound.  Absolutely spectacular!  

 We got to kayak to, and hike part of the famous Milford Track.

 We parked our kayaks and hiked up to Giant's Gate Falls

This is where hikers (they call them "trampers") normally end their four-day Milford Track experience.  It's appropriately called "Sandfly Point."   The sandflies there are terrible.  Check out the shoes left on the sign.
