St. Thomas March 21, 2009

These guys bask on the rocks right by the pier at St Thomas.

We took a taxi (too far to run) to Coki Beach. The best snorkeling of our whole trip! Endless schools of tiny shimmering fish that don't yield until you swim right through them. Hundreds of long skinny needle fish? swim right at the surface. Deeper down are beautiful neon colored fish feeding and seeking cover in the reef. The beach was crowded and noisy and festive.

Our last night on the ship so we took pictures of our familiar sights. The buffet where we packed it in and the stairs where we burned it off (we never took the elevator) and our stateroom. Eating was on 15 and 5. We lived on 10 and the promenade deck was on 7.

We had the driver drop us off a few miles away from the ship so we could walk back and do some shopping. Have to get a T-shirt and a necklace on every island.

This was a cruise of the Southern Caribbean. It was awesome! Amanda and Marianne both convienced us to try a cruise, they were right, it's great. More than 1/2 the people on the ship were from Canada, lots from Europe, and we actually met one family from South Jordan, they were the only other ones from Utah that we heard of.

I'm thinking you got Dean home just in time! He looks so brown, I'm not sure they would have let him back in the country on his original passport!
