Powell-- May 27-June 1, 2012

Sunday night we headed to Lake Powell with Brent and Michelle Todd.  It was so cold when we left Salt Lake.  We got to the house boat around 4:00 a.m..  Yep, these people are crazy!  Monday we took the house boat out and found us the perfect place to spend the week.

Yep, found the perfect spot!

Once we got the houseboat secured, all that was left for the rest of the week was to fish, ski, swim, cliff jump, eat, hike, etc.

 Deaner has still got it!

 Erika never had it!

Brent's son brought some of his friends down with him.  They love to cliff jump.  Jumping wasn't enough for them, they had to do flips off the cliffs.

Then they decided they had to video the flips.  In this picture, the kid on the left is holding a video camera.  Did I mention, these people are all crazy!  Very entertaining though.

Me and my Walleye.  I also caught large mouth and small mouth bass, and some blue gills.  One of the kids on the boat caught a huge ugly catfish!

Dean took care of all our meals!  We ate so well down there!

A couple hours before we had to have the houseboat back, Brent decided it was time he learned how to do a flip on the wake board.  First try, almost landed it!  He has guts to even try it at his age!  Second try, broke his foot!  Hey, if you are going to break something, better at the end of the trip instead of at the beginning!  I'm guessing he was in quite a bit of pain the whole drive home.  We got home at 3:30 am, and the next morning went over to help unload the boat and truck.   His foot was so swollen, and all of his toes had turned purple!

They came up with this great idea as to how to get Brent from the houseboat to the truck.  Apparently when he got in the cart flipped and he banged his head and scrapped up one of his arms.  Rough day for Brent!

We could not have asked for more perfect weather for the week.

oops that was summer, but I'm sure Adam would have said the same thing. Maybe not the sappy memories part, but I know that is one of his favorite places on this planet.

It looks like lots of fun! Sorry about the broken foot Brent! Of course all those flips off the cliff could have lead to much worse injuries, so I guess you all got off easy!
