Pocatello Marathon and Bear Lake

We headed up to Idaho so Dean and Mike could run the Pocatello Marathon.  We decided to stop by Marianne and Davis' house.  It was so fun to visit with them!  They are great.  They have a new home, they moved in Wednesday, and we were there on Friday.  Didn't give them much time to unpack, but their place is awesome!

Then drove back down to Pocatello spent the night there, and headed out for the race Saturday morning.  (Aug 31).  Mike and his sister in law Melanie were running the half, Dean the full.  Amanda and I had just got all the kids to the race course and Mike came in.   30 seconds later and we would have missed him!  He was running strong!  He was so focused he didn't even hear or see us.  He got a PR.  Great job Mike!

Dean was using this as a training run for St. George.  He felt great about his run.  He got in under 4 hours.  We lost track of how many marathons this is for him, some where around 17 or 18 we think.
Dex found a cool cave in the bushes.  Kept him entertained during the race.

I had babies to keep me entertained while we waited for our runners!

After the race, we all loaded up and headed to Lava Hot Springs.
I had never been there before.  The babies loved the water, and Dex could have spent all day going down the slide if his parents would have let him!

My friend Odette called while we were in Pocatello and invited us to go to Bear Lake.  Never going to pass that up, so even though we had only packed for an over-nighter in Idaho, we headed to Bear Lake.

I love the content look on Miles face in the picture above.  P.S.  the babies LOVE whipping cream!

Amanda's family and Dean had to leave on Sunday.  I got to stay up till Tuesday afternoon.
Braden and Hanna couldn't be that far away from a hospital, so they stayed home, and of course, Caitlyn is still playing in Alaska.
