100 years of scouting

In February, the Boy Scouts of America turned 100 years old. Along with that we enjoyed several celebrations. Our district had a nice dinner, and handed out awards to various scout leaders. Here is Dean receiving the Top Talon award, along with other members of our stake.

Last week we were able to attend the 100 years of scouting Gala at the Salt Palace. We enjoyed a really nice dinner and some great speakers. The highlight for me was seeing Amanda's mission president, Adrian Ochoa and his lovely wife, and getting to brag about having Amanda's baby due soon. They really love her and were so excited to hear the great news. (President Ochoa is now serving as a counselor in the general young men presidency)

Very cool Dean! I'm glad you could share your baby good news! It won't be long until you'll need to carry a brag book full of pictures around!

Aren't the connections that we make just amazing. How fun that you could meet her mission pres. there.
