Camino from Brea to Santiago Spain. 11-9-2019

It was a little rainy as Caitlyn and I headed out to walk the last 17 miles of the Camino de Santiago!  Caitlyn had already done about 500 miles, and I was starting out with fresh legs!  She had her backpack, and I left mine in the car to meet up with it at he hotel.

I quickly learned to watch for these yellow and blue seashell signs.

Amanda met us for breakfast in O Pedrozo.

I got to walk with Caitlyn for  17 miles in this beautiful countryside!  Oh, the things we saw!

We met up again with Amanda in Monte Del Go.  We had lunch there, and then Amanda finished the last 3 miles with us.  So amazing to finish this with Caitlyn and Amanda!

I love this picture!
This is our first view of Catherdral of Santiago de Compostela!  Caitlyn's finish line!  500 miles behind her!

This place is amazing.  Watching Caitlyn finish was such a cool experience, seeing her meet up with people she had met along the Camino.  Oh, no words.

Also, watching Amanda converse with people in Spanish, navigate the roads in Spain, meeting us along the way, making everything work our in our hotel, rental car, gas stations, etc. oh, so many proud  mommy moments, and we are only on day one of this trip!
Her certificate, she completed the Camino de Santiage, the Way of St. James!  She started in France, and walked all the way across Spain, by herself!

This night we spent in Santiago, in a convent converted into a hotel.  Kind of eerie, but really glad we did it!  We dropped off our bags, and headed out to see the city.

The streets in Santiago we some of my favorite.  It was so fun to go exploring.

When we finally got back to our hotel, we got our first look at Caitlyn's feet!  So many blisters!  That didn't slow her down at all!  She is so tough, physically, and emotionally...this kid is amazing!
