11-8-2019 Brea, Spain. Finding Caitlyn

I left Salt Lake City on Nov. 7, at 8:21 a.m..  Landed in NYC (JFK) about 4 hours later....then the time thing gets complicated....I think it was about 2:30 pm NY time.  Amanda was flying from Detroit to NYC, and met me around 5:30.  It was not a simple thing trying to get on our next flight to Spain, but we did, and we are ready for this adventure!

We landed in Madrid, Spain around noon, Spain time, which was 6 am NY time, which was 4 am SLC time.  Needless to say, my body had no idea if it was supposed to be asleep or awake.  We rented a car, and headed Northwest to see if we could find Caitlyn!  Caitlyn has been walking across Spain since Oct 7.  She was doing the "Camino de Santiago" or "The Way of St. James".
The 5 1/2 hour drive to Brea had some really cool looking castles and beautiful scenery.
Amanda's phone was working, so we had GPS.  So thankful for that!

Our GPS took us to a really scary abandoned warehouse out in the middle of nowhere!   Umm....no thank you.  Rerouted to this little lane with a concrete entry...um not sure the car will fit in there!  Amanda got out, walked down the dark land, and found Caitlyn!  Other than the arch thing, this place was great.  Pension, the Way, was the name of this hostel.

We found Caitlyn sometime around 10:00 pm.

The place was really cute, had dinner for us, and we had 3 twin beds.  Tried to get some sleep, as Caitlyn and I were going to walk the last 17 miles of the Camino.  This will make for 500 miles total for Caitlyn.
