New York, day 2 2-28-2019

Thursday Morning, we went out to see New York City!  Hopped on the subway and headed to downtown Manhattan.
The World Trade Center Memorial

The Oculus was a really cool building!
So much bigger on the inside that it looked like on the outside!

There were so many amazing sights! I loved taking it all in!

Spending time with Deena was so fun!  She is the one that made this possible.

The Fearless Girl sculpture in front of the New York Stock Exchange...and fearless Deena and Deaner!

The Brooklyn Bridge.  So fun to see all these things I've heard about!

The Staten Island ferry.  Yep, I have seen the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island!
Ok, it may have been a little windy!

Chelsea Market and the Meat Packing district....which I didn't understand, there isn't room for cattle on this island, so seems weird to have a meat packing district.  (In the early 1900s, there were more than 250 slaughterhouses and meatpacking plants, thank you Wiki) But they did have great tacos!

This little window looking out on the the street below was kind of a cool perspective.  It was along the High Line trail.  Right after we took this pictures, they randomly closed this part of the trail.
The High Line trail was one of my favorite parts of this trip.

The Stairway to Nowhere.
2500 stairs to nowhere.  Now there is $150 Million dollars well spent! LOL
The Empire State building in the background!  How cool is that?!

Entering Central Park

LDS Temple

A stroll through Central Park

Ok, I really loved Central Park too!

We had to go to a Broadway play.  We saw "Ain't too Proud".  It was the story of the Temptations.
We really enjoyed it.
Day 2 was amazing!
