Helena, 7/21/2016

Dean and I went up on Thursday, and Mike and Amanda came up on Friday.
This is Dean's first time up since his accident.

Mike and Amanda's front yard.

Before....oh yeah, they took down a few walls.  (Where the green floor is, is now a pantry and  powder room)  The wall with the picture on it, was replaced with a beam.
\
Dean centered the door to the back yard, and replaced the skinny door, with the door that was between the mud room and the kitchen.  It's a cool door!

The picture above is before they raised the roof 2 feet.
When they tore down the ceiling, they uncovered this cool arch!

Since Dean got hurt, and wasn't able to hang sheetrock with Mike, they decided to hire it out.  It looks great, and our guys didn't have to do it!
They added big windows in the upstairs family room, they have amazing view from this room!
Mike and Amanda worked their tails off installing new windows!  They make such a huge difference.

Upstairs laundry room is taking shape.

Tile in the tub looks amazing

So, check out where the toilet is in the top picture, and that will give you a reference point to the remodeling that went on here.  The little wooden door, was removed and sheetrocked over, and now is a walk in closet.  The little window and wall had to be moved to make room for a doorway into the closet.  The toilet was relocated, and a shower was added.  The claw foot tub, is in the garage for now...

 Toilet and shower go here.
Confused yet?

The bunny, that Nora named "Pony" is still lives in their backyard, is still there, that makes me happy.

This space will now be a reading nook and a closet.

Amanda, Nora, and I went to check out the farmers market.  We got to watch pole-vaulting in the park along side the farmers market.

Yep, this is some fine dining here!  Eating in the mud room, on top of the sheetrock mud boxes.

We spend a lot of time in the unfinished basement.

They took off the storm door, which was shorter that the wood door, and made the opening fit the original door.
Grandpa Deaner has to exercise his leg 4 times a day.  Nora is doing her exercises too!

Nora loves to take pictures with my phone.  Her first few needed a little help, but she got pretty good after a few hundred pictures.

After making a pantry out of a walkway, they hung french doors as pantry doors.  These are doors that they took off another room in the house where there is now a wall.
