New Year's Eve 12-31-2018

In our cabin development, because of the risk of forest fires, we are not allowed to have out door fires.   We have a huge burn pile, and on New Year's Eve, they do a huge bonfire.  We decide to drive down and try our snowshoes, and watch the bonfire.

That is our cabin in the background.

At 5 p.m., they took propane torches and started the burn pile on fire.

The heat from the fire was amazing!  People were snowmobiling, tubing, had lawn chairs out around the fire.  This is a really fun thing, and I think it may become a tradition for us!
We met one of Caitlyn's bus driver friends from Alaska.  His parents have a cabin in the same development.

We had to head home...1) because we don't have a cabin we can spend the night in, yet, and 2) because we wanted to to celebrate with our kids back at home!

My mom and dad, and my Aunt Cheri and Uncle Robert stopped by to say goodbye to Caitlyn.

Rex was trying so hard to stay awake till fireworks.

Rex and Livy had to say their goodbyes to Caitlyn, she was to leaving to fly back to Alaska in the morning.

And again, we had to say goodbye to Caitlyn!

Happy New Years!
Happy Birthday Amanda!
