I snapped this picture of a cliff jumper when I went out to capture a picture of a cool sunset. Kind of wish I knew who it was, they might like this picture!
This was "home sweet home" for the week. We were in a little cove right across the bay from the boat ramp.
That is our group standing on a rock out in the water. That rock could do some serious damage to an unsuspecting boat prop!
Scott loves to fish. He caught 3 different kinds of fish off the houseboat in a matter of about 30 minutes.
I loved this picture of Paul. Kind of looks like God is shining a light down on him....or maybe God was spotlighting Paul so the fish could avoid him!
This is the Sand Hill.
It's really hard to show how steep this really is. The first day we there, Dean and I hiked up this hill. It was brutal! It's incredibly steep and the sand is deep and soft. We decided it would be a great way to stay in shape for our marathon coming up in 3 weeks. The next day, we decided to do it twice. After that, we did it 4 times every day.

The view from the top is AWESOME!
On the second day, the rest of our group decided that they would try it too. (along with boatloads of other people!)
This sand is so soft. It takes about 3 steps up to make 1 step of progress....the ultimate stair-stepper.

Everyone on our boat made it!!! This picture is taken in front of the wall at the top of
Sand Hill.
Back Row: Fred, Lin, Scott, Penny, Carolyn, Paul
Dean and Erika in the front.
Turns out this was a real popular thing to do. It was fun to watch boat after boat full of people pull up and attempt the hill.
Does it get any better than sitting around a campfire at Lake Powell?
Oh yeah . . . getting ice cream at Dangling Rope is up there among "a few of my favorite things!"

On our way home from Lake Powell, we stopped by Panguitch Lake. Greg and Jeff, and their families were there camping and fishing.

We got home from Panguitch Lake late Saturday night.
Sunday was Mike's birthday, so we got to have them over for Sunday/birthday dinner. Caitlyn came down from Logan, along with her roommate Haley.
