Dex goes to Apple Blossom Festival

We started the day off with the Apple Blossom 10k. It was about 70 degrees at start time....way too hot to run in!

After the race, we cleaned up and headed to the walking mall.

We needed to immediately add back any calories we burned off during the race. We got funnel cakes, elephant ears, corn dogs....fried oreos, these people will deep fry anything!

This sleepy little town of 23,000 turned into the place to be. Over 250,000 people come to Winchester for the Apple Blossom Festival!

This is the parade that never ends...it just goes on and on my friend.
Seriously, we watched the parade for 2 1/2 hours, and gave up.
(According to Wikipedia, it's one of the largest parades of it's kind in the nation.)

Mike and his parents thought they were part of the parade

That is Dex and Amanda watching the parade from the top balcony.

This parade had everything! Val Kilmer was in it, as well as several other actors/actresses that got old and fat, except one guy from "All my Children"...neither old nor fat.

The clowns on this truck accidentally hit the electrical wires. Secretly we really enjoyed that.

Mike asked me to put this photo on, because it appears that he really told these guys something really funny....kind of a proud moment for Mike.

Braden's trip was full of texting and Dr. Pepper

We asked Dex if he liked the Apple Blossom Festival, but of course he can't talk....

He just did this!

It looks like fun! The 70's sounds like a better transition than the 80's we had in Houston. Dex looks very happy!

That was 70 at the start line, it got up to 90 during the day. Last nights low was over 70. I'm loving it!
