Bear Lake 9-16-2021

It's the Bear Lake Bike ride!
We used to do this every year.  It's been 9 years since we did this ride.
This years ride was a little different.  We all had E-bikes.  It was amazing.  We could each determine how much exercise we wanted, and we could all stay together, regardless of our fitness level.

Half of us arrived early on Thursday, and I had never riden an ebike, so we road Round Valley as a practice run.  I loved it!

Daphne, Jan, Luey, Erika, Nan, Odette, LuAnn, Karen, and Becky.

...and it's go time!

This was our turn around point.  Rather that ride along where the traffic was busy, and there isn't a good bike path, we turned around just over half way, and road back around the east side of the lake.  So much less traffic, but added about 6 extra miles to our ride.  (we did 58 miles total)

We all decided to buy matching tie-dye shirts at the turn-around.

This is me trying to be artsy.  The reflection of Mud Lake in my glasses.  Look close.😄

Done.  Tired. Waiting for the others to finish.

Friday, after the ride, we went to Garden City, had dinner together, and visited all evening at Odette's cabin.
Everyone but Odette and I left Saturday morning.  Odette had invited Dean and Braden and his family to come up for the weekend.

Such a fun group of ladies!

Deaner showed up around noon.

The Bradens are here!  They love Bear Lake, and staying at Odette's!

Lucy loves Odette, and I love the way she says "Odette".

Lucy would chase the seagull for as long as he would let her.  He knew if he went into the water, she would stop.  But first, he lead her a long ways down the beach!

You got to love the photo bombers!

The kids got a toy stuck up in the tree.  So Dean got a log to knock the toy out of the tree.  Of course, the log got stuck in the tree!  So he got another log, to knock the first log out of the tree.  The toy came down, but not the log, and log #2 got stuck in the tree!  So now, the tree has two logs stuck in it!  How funny is it going to be when the next group comes up and cut logs start falling out of the tree?!  When we woke up the  next morning, both logs were on the ground.

Birthdays at Bear Lake are the best!  Happy Birthday Livy Lu!

Lucy out lasts Grandpa.
Having this much fun is exhausting!
