Ridgecrest turns 50, Big Cottonwood Half, and downing the tree 9/9/2017

My parents had this big Russian olive tree that needed to come down.

Yep, that's Dean up in the tree!
The ladder wasn't quite long enough, not a problem.

Now for the main part of the tree....

Ridgecrest Elementary turned 50!  They had a big party, and invited us back for the celebration.
I was PTA president there in 1996-97, and we made this tile mural for the main hall in the elementary school.  We had each kid decorate a tile.
Betsy oversaw the project, she was PTA president the year before me, and served on the board my year.

Braden's tile.  Killing a pot gut in front of the cabin garage.

My tile.  This was the design we also had on our sweatshirts for this year.

Caitlyn's tile.

These are our sweatshirt designs for the years we were president.

The next morning was the Big Cottonwood half marahton.

Perfect day for a race.

....and a picture of Rex andLivy!
