Trek, 2013

The week after we got home from Alaska, we got to go on Trek.  For those that don't know, it's a reenactment of when the pioneers made the "trek"  across the country using handcarts.  We are actually on the site in Wyoming where many of the pioneers died during the crossing.

This picture of Dean is on a place called Rocky Ridge.  It was crazy trying to pull a handcart across all these rocks.
While we were at our camp site, a bus from Colorado came in to drop off a group so they could do the trek, and it got stuck.  It entertained us during dinner, watching to see if, and how, they were going to get out of this mess.

This was home sweet home for us during trek.

How many treks have you been on now? You've probably put in more miles than the pioneers!
