Today was imPORTant. 11-14-2024

 Today I got my port in.

Dean is in Michigan, so Braden took me to American Fork Hospital for the procedure.  Everything went great.  I was supposed to sleep through it, but instead I just chatted with the doctor through the whole thing.  He may charge extra for that!

I was feeling great, so we from the hospital we went over to Braden's house where Hanna and the kids were decorating for Christmas!

Braden and Hanna's neighbor has just finished up treatment for breast cancer.  She (Jen Runolfson) was willing to share tips and experiences from her chemo experience.

while the adults were visiting, Livy was busy making me these cool bracelets!

Port is in and ready to go!

July 23, 2024 Lucy and Mary have a birthday

 Our Granddaughter Lucy shares a birthday with Dean's mom Mary, how fun is that?!  90 years apart.  Lucy turned 5, Mary turned 95!

Mary was in such a fun mood for her birthday!

So was Lucy!

Amanda made cupcakes and icing for all the grands to decorate.  We had some pretty good looking masterpieces!

This fun day was filled with parties for the birthday girls, lots of "JackBox", (our new favorite game we play on our devices against each other), putting the paddle boat in the lake behind our house, and lots of Mina time!

We also got a fun visit from Amy and Jodilynne!

The kids and grands to Utah 7/16/2024

 The adventure begins!

Amanda and kids and I flew back to SLC from Michigan on the same flight.  Dean also flew to SLC, but he was on a different airlines.  (I made him extend his Michigan trip, so had to find a cheap flight for him.)

Dex and Miles went to Scout camp the very next morning with Braden, and Nora had science camp at BYU.  We really didn't get to spend time with them the first few days.

July 22

This is the day the Alaskans come to Utah!  

While we were waiting for time to pass, we went and saw the Days of 47 float preview.

 I took Dex to this a few years ago...we tried to recreate that photo. 

Those years have been a little harder on me than they have on Dex!

The Lego float was Lucy's favorite!

Rex loves the T-Rex!

Dean found his cousin Jodi manning a float.  That was a fun surprise!

Amanda and her kids, and Hanna and her kids were all there.  The older kids went a different speed than Rex, Lucy and I did.

We all finally get to meet Mina!

Mina was amazing!  Everyone wanted to be right in her space, and she loved it!

The day ended with a sleepover at Grandma's for all the grands except Mina.

We now have everyone in Utah, except Mike, and he arrives late on July 24.  (Amanda leaves on July 26, so our window of everyone in the same place at the same time is kind of short!)

Utah Lake!

We needed both boats because there are more people in our family than can fit in one boat! 

How lucky am I?!!!

 

Dean took Caitlyn and James and Mina back home, while the rest of us stayed and played.
