Awesome day at the lake!

It was an awesome day at the lake! 101 degrees, no wind, no other boaters.!

 Dex loves the water!

He has to be in on everything.  None of this "watch Grandma fish".  He wants to do it himself!
He wasn't content to just leave the line in the water, he had to try casting it too.

After watching Grandpa Deaner waterski....Dex had to try that too!

Dean and Dex were trying to run over the seagulls with the boat.  I think Dean got a bigger kick out of this stupid game than Dex did!

Manda is such a "gamer"!  She was at work when we called her and asked her to meet us at the lake.  She was not dressed for a day at the lake.  No matter, she put on a wet suit and a t-shirt and joined the fun.  Manda, you are awesome!  Thanks for coming with us!

Tri

This morning Dean ran his first Triathlon!

It was in Honeyville, Utah.

Josh Quincy told Dean about it.  Here is Josh finishing strong!

Josh's cute wife Meg.  She is just a little happy to be done, don't ya think?!

This is Dean's sister taking pictures of her husband Richard at the finish line.  Good job Richard!

These guys are so cool!

After the tri, we hurried home to witness a sealing at the Oquirrh Mt. temple.  The couple was supposed to be sealed on July 7, but the wife isn't supposed to live that long, so they had to move it up to today.  Very interesting experience to say the least.
From there, I went and had lunch with my brother Jeff who is in from out of town, and we went and watched our niece Kass play a soccer game.
Then home to attend our stake conference.  Dean did an awesome job, as did his counselors.
Busy day, I'm sure we will be sleeping well tonight.....probably not Dean till tomorrow's meetings are over, but I will!

Pictures from the triathlon.

As we drove out of town we drove right past the new Brigham City temple!  Awesome building!

Act of Service

Dean and I witnessed the most tender show of service yesterday.
We were at McDonald's watching these two teenage kids take care of each other.  One boy couldn't raise him arms to enjoy his drink, so his friend would hold the drink up to his mouth.  When they were through, they rolled away side by side with one boy clinging to the other boy's motorized wheelchair for an easy ride home.

I'm so proud!

One of my most proud moments....
I could actually eat something I have grown!  Yes, I planted this bush, watered it, and Dex and I have been watching for some red to show up, and today it did!!! We each got to eat 3 raspberries.
