This is for you Braden

We were on our way home from Las

Vegas and traffic was at a standstill near Mesquite.   Lucky for us, we have run a race here, and happened to know the frontage road way too well!

We called Braden, and he was able to tell us exactly where the accident was.

Dean was able to turn around (against my will) in the borrow pit, and take the frontage road and totally avoid the traffic jam.  Thanks Braden for walking us through this mess!

And congrats Braden on finishing your 2nd year of Law School!  You are awesome!

So, we may have ended up in Vegas....

We get to have Dex come over on Mondays.

He loves mowing the lawn with us.

 And feeding the ducks is always a hit!

At the last minute, Dean and I decided to head to Vegas to work on Dianna's house, so we took off, and made it as far as Hurricane.  Spent the night at Connie's house Monday night, and got up and drove the rest of the way to Vegas Tuesday morning.  We worked our tails off in 107 degree weather!  I didn't take a single picture at Dianna's house, but I will tomorrow when we go back over to work on it again.

Ogden Marathon 2012

Dean ran the Ogden Marathon today.

  (I was bummed that I didn't run this race today, but not too upset about not getting up at 3:00 a.m.!)

He and Tyler and Alisha (Tyler's sister), all rode up together.  Michelle and her boys and I headed up around 8:30 a.m. to get to the finish line to cheer on the runners.

 Tyler was the first of our runners to come in.  He took time to stop and hug his boys, and then finish the marathon!  Awesome race Tyler!

 Dean came in next.  His goal was to run it in 3 hours, 45 minutes.  That would be a personal record for him.

Can you tell by the look on his face....he finished at 3 hours, 43 minutes!  You rock Deaner!!!

 Our former neighbors the Bennions were also there.  So fun to see them.  Brant always has a huge smile on his face....I think it's still on there!
